Natural Rattan Cane Round Core Wicker Pith Spline for Furniture Repair

The rattan round core spline is widely used for weaving, rattan chair restoration and furniture up-cycling.

Stained Dark Brown - Finished with a dark brown exterior stain to complement darker-toned furniture frames. Only the outside is stained; the inside of the cane remains untreated and in its natural raw colour.

Natural - Hand sanded with fine grit. Consistent beige natural colour. Perfect for chair and fine furniture repair work.

Bleached White - Raw finish with minor imperfections. Consistent bleached white. Ideal for painting over.

*Rattan Chair Repairs - Acts as a mechanical fastener to secure new rattan webbing into groove of chair framing. Suitable diameter of round core is usually 1mm smaller than size of groove, typically 4mm or 5mm. We recommend removing the old spline and clean out any debris before measuring the width of groove.

*Furniture Up-Cycling - Normally used as a trim to cover up edges of rattan webbing.

*Weaving - Soak the spline in water for 5-10 minutes before weaving to make it more pliable.

Each 500g bundle consists of a mix of individual strands ranging around 1 meter to 3 meters in length.
