Natural Rattan Cane Half Round Spline

Specifically used as trimming to hide staples and give a neat finish along the edges of pre-woven rattan cane sheets. 

Available as a single 2m strand or bulk 500g bundle of mixed 1m to 3m lengths.

Usage & Preparation Tips:

Soaking: Because these thicker spline sizes (especially 8mm and 10mm) are quite dense, they require more soaking time to become pliable. Soak in lukewarm water for 15–20 minutes before use to prevent cracking or splintering.

Because rattan is a natural plant material, the exact length can vary slightly based on the density and moisture content of each harvest.

Each 500g bundle consists of a mix of individual strands ranging around 1 meter to 3 meters in length.

As a natural product, thicker diameters are significantly heavier per meter, which is why the total length decreases as the thickness increases. We recommend rounding down your estimates slightly to ensure you have enough material to complete your piece!
